I picked up some really old reference books for fiction and drama cheap at a used-book sale at the Uni today.

Not sure how relevant they'll be, but they're ancient and in good condition. So they're probably worth more than the $2 I spent on each, if I ever decide to sell them.

Are they bound in leather and were they handwritten by venerable monks?

Erm, no.

Bound in some sort of hard fabric (probably with some wood inside the fabric) and printed by blind nuns. Or a really old printing press that is probably in a museum now.

Actually, I have no idea. They just look like those old books they used to have in the 30s and stuff.

They weren't blind before they made it, but it was so beautiful that they went blind.
