What did it say? I was distracted.

By the way, we need to clarify: Is it a farm pig? Or is it a potbelly pig? Or a guinea pig? I think it makes a big difference.

Yeah, if it was a wild boar, that would almost be a compliment, because I think boars are probably more stubborn than bulldogs, and tougher too.

I certainly prefer guinea pigs -- they're much cuter than wild boars or bulldogs.

wot about pygmy marmosets?:

I think it's high time someone spoke up in defense of pit bulls.

Then that argument can ricochet around the country for another week, preventing any sensible discussion of the issues--those things we all keep saying we wish would be discussed.

Hey, it's better than pictures of cats. Seriously, the cat meme got stale years ago. The internet still hasn't gotten the memo. Let's try something else, like sheep or rabbits for example.

you're talking to someone who spent the entire day looking at LOLcats. Then again, my day job is accounting...so...cats with captions is quite a step up.

An artificially created storm in a teacup.

Even if you want to relate the lipstick analogy to Palin, it doesn't work. The interpreters are deliberately mixing the metaphor to make it sound sexist.

Like someone said above, Palin would not be the pig in the analogy; she's the lipstick. It's McCain/Bush policies that O. is calling a pig.

From my view far across the ocean I keep thinking that this whole Palin thing is a bubble that will soon burst. It's just so... surreal. But what do I know.

Carry on. Lipstick is a great theme for an election.

Now I know why I cannot abide lipstick. It is just so... trivial.

You can put peanut butter on a bicycle, and it's still a bicycle.

You can put a racing stripe on an anvil, and it's still an anvil.

You can put a condom on a fencepost, and it's still a fencepost.

You can put a fright wig on Dick Cheney, and it's still Dick Cheney.

You can put a blind mouse in a thermos bottle, and it's still a thermos bottle.

You can put an idiotic ridiculous interpretation on an innocent remark, and it's still and innocent remark.
