I'm a fan/collector of one-hit wonders. I know I'm leaving out quite a few.

LOL it's funny because a one hit wonder in the US can be a hugely successful act in Europe, Asia, or even world wide. So these are USA one hit wonders for sure .

And I don't know if it was a hit but I luv Booby Trap by The Dickies. So catchy!

Fantastic song. It's kind of a shame they never had more hits (except, in a minor way, Black Stations, White Stations or whatever it was called) -- this band was really, really good.

And who could forget C.W. McCall, and Convoy?

4 In Legion will never again have a song as popular as "There's a Party in my Pants (and you're invited)," but I strongly suspect that never got any radio play outside of Tampa, Florida.

I peeked at the Lyrics World site, it appears that a good percentage of top 40 songs are one-hit wonders.

This one sounds quite Beatleish (well, a good bit of '60's stuff sounds Beatlish, but this one a little moreso):

Sorry, but I have to throw a flag on that one. April Wine was huge for a couple of years. Just Between You and Me was a major hit, and they had a couple of other big ones, as well. That was in the U.S. They had even more success in Canada. Btw, I love April Wine, so don't get me wrong, here. I felt it necessary to defend them from the label "one hit wonders."



And another band of a similar nature is Triumph. Definitely not a one hit wonder, but with a very similar chart history.

I had to look up the singer of Pop Muzik and it showed Marcus, or maybe I'm so tired I typed the first name that showed up. I love Kids In America. I use to blast it singing at the top of my lungs. Great song!

I remember it too... "We're the kids, we're the kids in america..." Talk about a blast from the past..
