I'm currently seeking beta readers for my 6K short story, <retracted>. I'm hoping to get it in this quarter for WOTF. If anyone is also working on a story, I'll gladly swap crits.

The story:
<retracted>. (Sci Fi, not too hard. Goal: 5-8K words. It's at 6K)
When an alien ship lands in the Nevada desert, a disillusioned bureaucrat who doesn't believe in aliens is forced to investigate. What he discovers is the truth behind the dinosaur extinction, mankind and its future.

My experience:
Written one novel which I'm sitting on right now with the intent of a final edit in August.
Accepted to Uncle Orson's literary bootcamp
Run a local writing group in souther NH

Looking for:
Anyone willing to provide honest criticism. I may not like it, but constructive criticism, even if harsh, is the only way that I'll improve my craft.

Thanks!

I just wanted to follow up after my critique from CaseyMack.

The comments I got were very insightful and helpful. In particular, he had experiences that related directly to a scene in my story that helped me write it more realistically.

He pointed out things that worked and didn't. All in all very helpful.

I would recommend his help to anyone looking for a beta reader.

(I can't go into specifics due to the anonymity of the WOTF contest)
