In the Things Guys Don't Understand Department.

One of the charity groups here is holding a "wedding gala" this morning. Women showed up at five a.m. They are going crazy over "cheap" wedding dresses; cheap meaning the dresses are only $400 to $800.

I bought the wedding dress for my "little sister". The "garment bag" to put the thing in was $40 extra. I told her I had garments that didn't cost $40.

$400 to $800 is cheap for wedding gowns. Some can run up to and over $40,000.

Though I do add: why the scrap would anyone pay anything near that for a dress, wedding or otherwise.

I don't do anything before sunup except roll over and mumble a little.

Cold here too. I heard whispers of snow coming Sunday.

What a fun time you'll have tonight, Syd. Think of all the drunks pretending they're Irish and wearing those stupid green hats. I wish I could be there.

I'm trying not to think about it. My plan is to check out, turn on autodrive, and not check back in till I am back in front of my computer at around 4am :D

Maybe a couple of the drunks will sing It's a Long Way to Tipperary and start crying when they get to the part about Irish Paddy.

That would be fun! But I am guessing a most will yell, some will get sick, and maybe a few will go to fisticuffs.

I have one rule: Don't do bar tricks for money in a biker bar.

Don't ask.

Pick a card, any card, and put it back. I'll shuffle the cards and pick out your card with the deck held behind my back.

Close. Bar tricks for money are almost by definition a "sucker's bet". I don't know why anyone would get mad when they lose ten dollars.

I can tell you how to do the trick if you like. You could entertain the drunks some night.

I find it best not to engage :D I did see a cool story trick with cards the other day. Where he arranged them in such a way that the cards corresponded with the story.

There is an old country song where a deck of cards reminds the singer of something or the other.
