Didn't Paul Simon write a song called "The Last Jew in Afghanistan?"

I saw this movie. The Last of the Jewhicans. His son gets killed by a mohawk, and then he just beats the shit out of him with the jawbone of an ass whilst Daniel Day Lewis watches on.

I had heard of this a few years back -- that there were two Jewish men left in Afghanistan, and they hated each other. Crazy story.

As much affinity as I have for Israel, an unintended consequence was that lots of Jewish communities around the world, particularly in North Africa, the Middle East and far-flung places like this or India, dried up.

Zebulon Simentov, the last Jew in Afghanistan, is once again marking the Jewish holy day of fasting in solitude, in a deserted synagogue in the capital of a devoutly Islamic nation.

"I have everything I need for the 24 hours of praying and fasting," Simentov tells AFP before the start of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, at sunset on Friday.

I know Bravo is a stickler for details. I'm not sure if it's in my best interest to have this discussion with him. Maybe I'll wait for Joe.
