Cheering you all on!
I did my three month status query last week, and she told me she's hoping to be caught up soon from getting behind this summer.

Have you nudged her recently, GR? (that's for a full, right?)

I'm waiting on a full too. It's been almost 5 months, but no worries. She'll get around to all our fulls eventually. Last year, it took 9 months for me to hear back. She's just super busy.

Good luck!

I can't get over how much that illustration looks like her.

There's a revealing and info-packed interview with Diana on Realm Lovejoy's blog today. And Realm's sketch is just perfect.

Realm Lovejoy interviews Diana Fox

What a great interview. Diana gave me one of the nicest rejections I've ever received- a real class act. I'll definitely be querying her with a new novel that's more in her taste range.

A great interview. I just queried her today so I guess I'm in for a bit of a wait. I'll keep you updated.

I know Ms. Fox has been working hard to catch up with her submissions; anybody know where she is in her TBR pile now?

Assuming she reads her submissions in order, she's not past May yet. :)

I sent a query 1/4/10. Received a pleasant form rejection letter today, 1/7.

Interesting. She told me that she was thinking of not requesting any material in January so she can catch up. I assumed she wouldn't be reading queries.

in other people's soups
a couple of people on querytracker mentioned that they got quick responses in the last couple of days. But I certainly hope her not wanting to request any material in January doesn't mean that she's rejecting them all outright...I doubt she'd be that unprofessional though.

She might be putting aside queries she likes to request material after January. It's not that unusual to reject some and save others to consider later, especially if she's already working through a backlog.

When I queried her last summer I noticed she had rejected queries sent around the same time as mine a couple of weeks before she requested my full.

She also said she was getting an intern, so it's possible that the intern is rejecting ones she knows are rejections and saving possibles for later.

I queried Diana Fox back in late September and still haven't heard back. I've sent two follow-up emails as well. Still nothing. Not sure whether I should cross her off my list or not...

I queried Diana on 21/09/2009 and never heard anything back either. I think I'll wait until it's been six months and then resend it. Most agents I would nudge after it's been three months, but I know how busy Diana is so I think I will leave it a while longer.
