Mine eyes have seen the glory of the scaly, fiery beast
It has gouged the guts of knights from north to west to south to east
It has fried its foes to make itself a "blackened-human" feast
The wyrm rampages on!

Torchy, torch--he fries our butts
Ouchy, ouch--he gnaws our guts
Nomming brains like Planter's nuts
The wyrm rampages on!

I think Callalilly wins the witty-rewrites dragon poetry contest, somehow!

Afternoon everyone! No e-mails here either. But I'm home sick today which gives me way more time to work on my WIP, which has been on hold all week. So, yay!

If only being home sick didn't come with an attached sickness...

Does anyone know just how MANY stories are going to be in the final TOC?

I think that's what Mac's working on. She says she wants about 90,000 final word count, so it depends on the sizes of the stories in the final round.

I would just like to know how many of us made it to the 'second round' of cuts. :D

*Iz curious, since there were 237 subs total for the anthology to begin with.

Didn't she say something like 60 passed on? Or was that how many were rejected? I don't know it could be the headache is making me confused, but I'm pretty sure there was a post way back about how many were passed on.

ETA: I don't know, I couldn't find it. Maybe I imagined it. Or maybe Pthom said it. But there is a post by Mac saying she already cut 13 stories from the final round. /randomfacts

lost among the words
The last round was numbered at 13, but I don't know how many was in the first round. I don't remember a post about it, at least.

Me neither, that's why I asked. I was just wondering how many of us were in waiting - and still are :Hug2:

Cheering you all on!
100 initial subs in, she had rejected half of them, so you could project a number based on that.

But there were 237 initial subs to the anthology. It was mentioned earlier on this thread.

So you're saying half of that made it through?

Then there would be 105 subs (that's already minus the 13 cut last week), roughly.

*Right?

The last update during the first round had about half being held. I don't think we ever got a final number.

The last figures we got were before the deadline day, if I remember correctly. So it depends on how many folks submit right on the deadline :D I usually do, lol.

Yeah, I think only about 90-100 were covered by that point! I don't know how many else made it through.
