Yay! Last weekend was my father-in-law's birthday. We called him before the weekend and asked him if he would like coming to our house for to celebrate and he said, "no,I'm busy." ok then. so he's coming over this week and I am making cupcakes for which I had to borrow cupcake cups and a piping bag from my very best friend. She's coming over w her hubby so she benefits too. I do have birthday Candles though.
Funny, I seem to have an awful lot of cupcake papers for someone who doesn't make a lot of cupcakes. No piping bag, though.
Maybe I should make muffins some time, though.

It's funny because I had big container of them but I guess over time used them up. Facebook is so weird. I post deep thought provoking things and...nothing. I post that I can't find cupcake cups and it spawns a big discussion. Mainly from alleycat from AW Who made comments like, "make muffins instead," and, "use coffee filters to make really big cupcakes."

After being reminded that I have cupcake papers, I made corn muffins last night to go with our chili. Not bad, but not as good as cornbread (because I slather it with honey-butter while it's still hot). The big plus is how muffins encourage portion control. We always scarf down 2/3 of the batch of cornbread.

Yeah I was aware yesterday that the cupcakes were smaller than I would have sliced a price of cake.

My grandmother's sister died in Dec and the memorial service is today, and I couldn't afford to fly to it. She and my grandma were the sweetest, kindest, most loving women ever.

Aw, I'm sorry to hear it. I'm sure she had a long and happy life full of love, since that's what seems to make sweet, kind, and loving people. C'mere, got a hug for you.

Yes. The news this morning had the stormd hitting our area around 7 am Wednesday - just when everyone is headed for work or school. West Alabama is supposed to get it around 2am - when people are sleeping. Not good.

I woke up at 408am and decided to let the dogs out before the rain came. Well it was pretty windy and Leela wouldn't go down into the yard, so I decided to get shoes and her leash and take her down. Well that turned into just walking the dogs at 430 am. Now we're all fed and they are sleeping while I watch storm coverage and wonder if I should do something or try to snooze.
