So I spoke to a lecturer at Uni today. She's the person to talk to about getting into Honours, at least in Philosophy.

Apparently I need about a 5.0 average (out of 7.0) to get offered a place, after I've completed my Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Philosophy.

So far it's looking pretty good. I'm running roughly a 6.0 average.

One thing I didn't ask, which I should've, was whether I could do a double Honours, like I'm doing a double Major...

The Uni probably wouldn't let me. Apparently I'd be doing 3 classes over 1 year, as well as writing a thesis, for Philosophy Honours. I don't imagine they'd think I'd have time to do the same for Creative Writing...

And if I do do Honours, I'll technically be enrolled in 2 Unis at the same time. Because there aren't enough Philosophy students at either Uni, so 2 of them have teamed up. (There are 3 Unis in my state.)

There's a university in my hometown named Austin Peay (pronounced "pee"). For fun the students yell "Let's go Peay!" at sports games and such.

There's a story doing the rounds that the University of Northumbria once tried to change its name to the City University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, until somebody told them what the acronym would be.

Ah, fun with technology...

So, I have a laptop and a desktop, an iPod and an external hard drive.

The external had 1 album missing that was only on the laptop. So I had to switch the laptop on to rip the new CD, then copy both the new and the other one to the external, then put the new music on my iPod, then use my external on the desktop to transfer the 2 CDs.

So basically I spent half an hour fucking about, and haven't actually listened to any of the new CD yet.

My plan? Put the new tracks on in Winamp, no shuffle, and take a nap (I never sleep during naps, I just get comfortable) to listen to the whole thing.

2 birds, 1 stone.
