Just when I thought it had been a while since I heard from anywhere and I was due for a response, BAM - a stupid form rejection. I really thought that story was right for the publication. That makes this one hurt. I am so sick of being rejected!

Sorry, everyone, for the recent rejections. I just got a 1-day R from Clarkesworld. My first submission there, and I knew it wasn't a good fit with them, but hey, why not!

Now I have to figure out where this story's second stop will be.

Some days are like that, gettingby--chin up. At least you're submitting, that's a lot better than not doing anything at all.

It's nothing but crickets over here. I'm almost excited! I've made it longer than ever before with Ellery Queen, and I'm a few days over with BeteNoir. By the way, what's up with One Buck Horror? I have had a sub pending for nearly a month now, and I see that the usual FORM reject time is way over. It didn't used to be like that. Anyone know?

Sucks for them, missing out at a potential Bram Stoker award, or something.

Hahahaha, good one, Samuel! That is too kind.

I feel that this story will find a home. I just hope it's a good home. Just sent it to Buzzy. (Holding off on Black Static, as a recent story of theirs featured a minor role by an animal mask. My story revolves around them.)

I've had West Brach, Hayden's, Literarian and Biblio Fant Rs these past few days. However, they've all gone back out AND i've written 4 new stories in the last week so not feeling too bad.

"The run," I love that. :)

Sorry about the Rs, but 4 new stories in the last week! I bow before you, Master. Truly impressed.

I've had over ten days of crickets and the chirping is starting to get to me. Of course, now that I've said that, I'm sure the rejections will start coming :D.

Second submission ever. First rejection. Still waiting on that first sub. I imagine I'll have the same response...

I guess...hooray? I've finally been accepted to real writer land or something?

Any published writer who is ever proven to be rejection-free will be summarily lynched by all the other writers.

And yes, welcome to the club!

I disagree. I think they should be deified, and immortalized with gold-font ascii images. :D

88-day R from newmyths.com--said the story didn't have enough depth. Guess the days of simple, fun tales are over, huh?

And just when I though I'd gotten away! 11 Day reject from Ellery Queen.

Damn typo. No time, instead of to time...
