My husband built a new computer for my birthday. The fun part was my best friend had paid him to put together a machine. So, when Brian (the husband) was building the computers he got the same cases for them. He'd be sitting at the table putting together my present and I had no idea. It was both sweet and clever.

The Institute of Children's Literature (seriously, I struggled through it at some point, but I finished, got my certificate and six college credits for it. I was so proud of myself. It helped me tremendously and it was fun to do. It's done via snail mail and the teacher does this full line by line edit. Totally cool. They helped me get published with some of my short stories and they always send me a book of the newest book markets. I write YA so I still use it to this day.

I used to like to sleep in, but then I got a dog and that became an impossibility. Now I enjoy being up and walking around six am. It's so quiet and peaceful outside.
