I spotted what seems to be a good book called, Self-editing for the Fiction Writer in the bookstore. Can any of you recommend a book or even a site that can help me learn how to rip apart my manuscript when the time comes?
Those two are very, very good. I also like "The Elements of Editing," by Arthur Plotnik, and love "The Elephants of Style" and "Lapsing Into A Comma" both by Bill Walsh.
Currently I am reading BECOMING YOUR OWN CRITIQUE PARTNER by Jane Toombs and Janet Lane Walters and I am very surprised that this book has no reviews on Amazon as I think it is an absolute gem. Those two ladies did a wonderful job.
