:Wha:

Why me? What have I done lately? How come I have to be the sacrificial lamb???

I'm not even a sheep anymore .....

*sighs*
you are always a hooved beastie to me...

I like lamb...

There's hardly any snow here at the moment. I could fire up the grill...
yummy BBQ

et tu, lily?

et tu?
he acts surprised...and doesn't seem to enjoy the love being thrown his way...
so what if it is a love a good meal and a glass of wine...

But, boston, I *said* I *love* lamb. ;)

*sharpens boning knives*

Although I could be persuaded to keep you around and fatten you up for my book launch party. :D
YAY! we could have lamb stew...lamb chops...

Um, no, I don't think so.

I've been working hard to get back down to the weight I'm at and haven't seen these numbers since... well, it's been a while and let's leave it at that.

So no fattening up.

I'll do enough of that on my own as it is during the holidays.
we don't even have to fatten him up he will do it for us. :evil

Ok, reporting in now, the Mac is loading next to my work computer to check my word count spreadsheet but I know it's not going to be good.

I was aiming for 2,000 words, or 4 500-word days. So didn't do that.

I wrote a total of 0 words toward the novel. But did write 444 words toward a flash fiction piece last Friday, titled Lovers or Haters @ http://www.benjaminsolah.com/blog/?p=1796

This week I'll wind down my goal and only aim for 1,000 words.
Ben,

Well you are bound to have off counts and weeks... keep pushing yourself to your goals. As incentive we are having lamb at Lily's book release party. You bring a nice red wine...I'll bring a camel gnome ah sheep....

hugs and pushups,

I know, but it's friggin' boring here. I didn't think anyone would mind, lol.

you're just jealous, Boston;)

it is sometimes a good idea to listen to the wiserump sheepcamelgnome thingy...he knows a certain Domme that gets cranky if she has to hunt for posts...sometimes the sheepcamelgnome thingy actually knows things too...:Wha: i know i am just as surprised as you.

Okay, let us try this again.
Progress: 3,445 words since I've been in the hospital. One story completed.

*THE DARK-CLAD MAN (or I may change that to DEMON DEFECTOR)
*THE STRAY (completed @ 1250 wds)
*GLORIA
*THE GARDEN IN THE DARK
*UNCONSCIOUS (This may turn out to be a novella, 25,000 words or so, or it will be about 5,000--depends on which fork of the road I take with it)
*DIE YOUNG (flash)
*IT CAME (humor)

Goals: Complete at least two of the stories, 2,000 words.

Steve very good job. Keep up the output. or else....

you get a cookie and lambchop for a job well done.

it is sometimes a good idea to listen to the wise sheepcamelgnome thingy... sometimes the sheepcamelgnome thingy actually knows things

This may be in strong competition with Susie's assertion that I am never snarky for prime real estate in my sig line once Christmas is past

Also, going to get in early here but I'm in a good mood with the email fairies bringing me news of employment AND payment all in one fell swoop.

I added 8k to the current WIP this week. (Admittedly, some of that was achieved by finally inserting things that had been previously written into their rightful place in the narrative... but a lot of it was newness.) Also solved a couple of plot flow problems without having to resort to an actual outline. At least not yet.

The idea muse also dropped by with a short story and a poem that are at least in the works... not sure the poem will ever get shared (I've heard things about the folks in the poetry threads) but I think the short might actually be a response to the prompt.

Well, one of the prompts. From several months ago. Slow and steady, right? :D

Wow good word count Boston....and editing impressive...as a reward you get to go on an ice fishing trip with the monkey and undead evil doggie. They requested bait you to come along. They think you are bite size chunkable...um awesome... the like you this:e2arms:much.

My goal was for 500.

Didn't happen.

Somebody, somewhere, thought I needed an extra helping of stress last week -- killed my words for days.

I did finish the December prompt, even the first round of edits.
Gave up on The Drum Set for now -- I know what I want it to do and it's just not cooperating.
Heard back on two of my picture book subs -- both rejections. Five left.

I'll go for another 500 this week -- we can only hope the Stress Fairy has been captured and beaten.
....i am on it....

Last week…
Re: My Dec. Prompt in progress

What? Did I seriously say that?
*sigh*

Presently it's over 4k…

I have more fine tuning to do this week on it, and then if it's still mammoth, I will be posting in chunks. I did finally come up with a title though! The Death of Me Yet.

Good job Soap! very impressive. You have come out swinging. Keep up the momentum. 10 roundhouses and a small duck for you.

Just made my first blog post in over a month with first post anywhere really aside from here in about the same length of time.

I got about 2500 words written last month total aside from here, but I've probably written that much today alone.

I think this new program that I'm using is going to be tremendous boon to my overall productivity and I have had several stories finished within the next two weeks simply through dictation.

Gods, I love this program (Dragon Naturally Speaking).

Awesome Greg,

What is the new program that you like? Share please. Keep pumping out the wordage. You get 10 pushups and a muse.

My Tigery Mistressness, the program is Dragon Naturally Speaking. I speak into a microphone and it prints the words out as text.

I got about 500 more words written this evening while playing with it a bit more. It has awesome capabilities, but it does not seem to appreciate barroom background noise or some of my accented phrases (it had a difficulty with the word "gun" which I strongly suspect is pc-dom on the parts of the creators, but I digress once again).

So far, I think it;s a great program and it's working pretty darned well - so long as I can avoid the PC potholes the designers might have built in.

Sleep... Those little slices of Death. How I loath
I have to rethink my goal, that was posted before the surgery got scheduled. If I get ANYTHING written between now and Monday, well...

Surgery around ten am tomorrow. After a couple days of recovery, if I feel good enough to write I will let you guys know. But my new goal for the week is to recover from the operation.
