At first I thought candy was a metaphore.

Candy is for squirreling away, not displaying.

Wait, now is it a metaphor?

Are you sure she was 27 and not, maybe, 7?

*backpedals out of cube. squints down grey-on-grey-on-grey hall*

She might be 87. Everything in here kind of blends together.

Hallmark probably makes a "heard about your audit" card. I'd go ahead and ship one their way. I'm all about passive aggressive action.

Oh, that'd be perfect.

On the front, there will be a picture of a person making a sympathetic face, and it will say "I heard about your audit..."
and then when you open it, it plays cackling laughter, then bursts into flames.

It's one of those multi-media cards.

It'd cost you eight bucks, but would be worth it. Flames are always worth it.

Hmm, if candy is now metaphorical, I'm regretting my use of small-mammal-turned-verb word choice...

I know all about long, totally crappy weeks. As such, I left work an hour early in the name of a massage. I may be convinced this is the best way to start a weekend.

:Hug2: And, yes, that is the best start to...pretty much anything. :)

I'm trying to convince my coworkers to join me for a package of hot dogs in a baguette bun for lunch on Monday. For some reason they are really angry about this suggestion.

Maybe I should wrap it in bacon and deep fry it.

And I just call the office of the Job from Hell, and told that old b*tch if she didn't have my W-2 in the mail by close of business on Monday, i was going to call the IRS on her. I actually said, "I hope you enjoy your audit."

I'm not a nice person when I'm angry.

Oh, that'd be perfect.

Yes, this would be A-mazing! And if you're really lucky, the audit would reveal some serious issues and then this crazy lady would go down in flames as well. ;)

:roll: I had to put two, one for me and one for Mr. Kricket. That was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Thanks for sharing!

Love you all. Slightly afeared to walk into the room right now(easy, put that flame-thrower down).

i work freelance, and every year I get between a dozen and twenty W-2's and 1099s. Technically it should be ALL w-2s, but what am I gonna do, turn down the work?

Anyway, 1099s don't have to be mailed until Feb 15th, which makes a mini-crunch until March 1, when kids' college financial aid forms are due.

A couple years ago I ended up doing my taxes three times because TWICE I received a straggler 1099 that hadn't been mailed by supposed deadline.

Evening Folks!

I'm writing words right now. It's not for any of my stories, but they are words and they do require some creativity. That counts, right?

Fresh bread? You have to share. Didn't your mommy ever explain that to you? Fresh bread must be shared with those around you. The smell alone is enough to drive them crazy.

I'll bring the butter. Salted or unsalted?

A recently made observation....

It is much easier to type when you have a spacebar that works. ctrl-v for typing a space is just a pain and so very very slow.

two-year olds and laptop keyboards don't mix.
