Prayers sent, Sassy!
Please pray for my eldest sister, the karate instructor. The school she's working for has decided to break away from the franchise, but she wants to stay with it (she's work on her next belt level in the system). That means she's probably going to be out of a job soon. She may or may not be able to get another job in the current franchise, but she could definitely use some hefty prayers.

Whoa, sass! Hip replacement in June. I pray you'll feel better after it heals, and I pray it heals quickly. Keep us posted.

Okay, guys, a request from me:
There's a former AWer who is facing back surgery very soon. She's been in a lot of pain, so the surgery hopefully will help that.
So--please pray that the surgery does take care of the problems she's having, and that she heals fast.

My teacher sister is receiving her master's degree tomorrow evening. 
However, the graduation ceremony is in Phoenix. It's about a 2 hour drive, and she'll be staying there overnight. Our parents, eldest sister, and possibly one of our nephews will be going with her. Her kids are with their father this weekend, so they may or may not be there, too (likely not, but you never know). Please pray that they all have a safe trip and a safe return.

Thanks for the prayers, guys! Everybody came back OK from Phoenix, plus Sis' ex did bring the kids to see her graduate.
Poor Sis came home from shopping for vacation supplies and found her house was broken into. No one was at home at the time and nothing seems to have been taken, but still, that's scary! Please pray for her safety and comfort.

Thank you guys! I haven't heard from her since her surgery yesterday. When I do, I'll let you know.
Latest news on the former AW member: She's going home from the hospital today, will need round-the-clock care for a bit, and the best news ever: the back surgery was a success! She's in less pain now also. Thank you all for your prayers for her.

I need prayers for my best friend who was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical canerr. She is fighting and doing treatment. Doctors are giving her 3 years. She has a son who needs constant care due to medical conditions and she is his only caregiver.

Today we memorialize my father-in-law, who passed 10 days ago. After losing my own father 6 months ago, I'm finding today overwhelming. My father-in-law was a wonderful man, a stellar father, and my husband and his siblings are desperately feeling his loss. My mother-in-law is, of course, bereft. They were married almost 62 years. My eldest son is eulogizing his grandfather and I know he's going to have the church in tears. I have to hold it together...
