Angyl, I don't think our paths have ever crossed. Hello! I am completely normal, do not worry. My normal levels are, like, really high. :D

Confession: I haven't eaten my gyro yet.

hi! I've been horribly absent. I once was here then well I seemed to have pulled a bugs bunny and turned left instead of right at albequrky (sp?) sky scraper high or jupiter high?

AC- I'd go buy some, but well the fridge broke...

What Syd said, except for the gyro part. Hello, and welcome back to AW. :)

Good morning, house of fun.

I woke up chilly this morning. It's either cool here or I set the A/C too low.

Yup. What's it supposed to be at this time of year where you are? It was about 10C where I'm at last night, which is a little low in June even up here . I was tempted to put my winter coat on when I took the dogs out for a walk.

It's suppose to be 82F/28C later today.

We're maybe ten degrees F lower than would be typically. It can still be cooler here at night, but not down in to the 50s. At this time of year it can go either way; unusually cool or unusually warm.

Our weather depends on which weather fronts is stronger; one from the northwest or one from the Gulf Coast. If they two meet at the wrong place it can often spawn tornadoes.

Good morning, house of rotating sandwiches.

Sheesh! Gyro sandwiches!!! I had to look that up. But now I know you're not eating part of the space shuttle's navigation system! It's a relief. :)

That's a nice temperature, but I don't envy you those tornadoes.

It's cold here. (Well, relatively - for me anyway.):(

Last night it was 35F/2C and today it's supposed to warm up to 64F/18C.

But my house is designed for the warm summers so it's cold in here, particularly my study so I've got the heater on.

Spelled the same, but pronounced differently. The food is more like jeer-ro.

News story of the day . . .

Some knucklehead got drunk and then stole some old person's power scooter (like a fancy wheelchair) Then he was arrested for driving down the road with the thing.

Dumb and dumber all in the same person.

Yikes! But then again, you're in winter now, right? Then that's not cold! :tongue

I kid, that is cold. Uhm, I'm glad I didn't put my winter coat on last night.

Yep. Winter. Brrr. It wouldn't be too bad if houses here were designed and built for cold weather. We tend to have large, single-pane windows, air-bricks in every room and central heating would mean I put the gas heater in the middle of the house. :D

Hey, AC. I found this. I think it's hilarious. Particularly the one about 8 women in a house constituting a brothel.

Every year there is at least one stupid state law passed.

One year there was a new law that allowed for "roadkill" (dead animals) to be eaten. It wasn't quite as stupid as it sounds (they actually meant that when a deer is hit by a car and killed someone can take the deer and use it), but it sure sounds stupid when it's called the Roadkill Bill.

It is illegal to give any pie to fellow diners. It is also illegal to take unfinished pie home.
All pie must be eaten on the premises.

:hi: Good morning house of odd laws.

:hi: Angyl. Congrats on the braces!

It's rainy season here! :snoopy: We desperately needed it.

My dog just challenged the cat. She lost. The cat is king. Of ALL.

Helpful hint of the day: Never tell your darling daughter that you are going to bring her a nice lunch since she is hurt and going to be off from work, because even if you later find out that she's not off from work she will still insist on you bringing her lunch. Once "free lunch" is mentioned there is no taking it back.

Did someone say free lunch? I'm available around 12:30.

It's some sort of tempeh dish, right, ac?
