...turns into a regular ass confession to murder.

A US man who thought he was dying and confessed to having killed a neighbour in 1977 has been charged with murder after making a recovery, US media say.

And now he might be facing the death penalty. So much irony... my shirt is no longer wrinkled*.

*now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go throw tomatoes at myself...

Reminds me of the time George Lopez promised his kid he'd walk the steps of the Basillica in Mexico City on his knees if God saved their dog, which he did.

Oh that wacky George Lopez.

That's hilarious. It shouldn't be, but there you go.

I wonder if a glimmer of that unburdening is still detectable.

Oh, the delicious irony. You get a wrinkle-free shirt, Jcomp, and I get to feast. It's wonderful, all the way 'round.

:D

Well, except for the death penalty part. But justice will be served, eventually, unless the defense somehow gets his confession thrown out. Isn't there some exception for dying declarations, though? Or is that only an exception for third party hearsay?

My head hurts. I iz not a lawyer.

I'd say so. Look at his mug shot.

The article's a little confusing, because they say that he killed the guy because he was trying to seduce his wife. They also say that he jumped bail, ran away, changed his name, and settled down with his wife. Was that the same wife? Was she in on it the whole time?

The doctor didn't save him. He repented. . .and saved himself. . . .
