My household is cheering for the Patriots as well.
I, on the other hand, am watching Atonement, even though Benedict Cumberbatch is basically the bad guy in this... I believe.

My dog acts all savage like and freaks out at it.

Everyone is cheering for the Patriots, mainly because it is my Uncle's favorite team. Well, that and Tom Brady. AND, they hate the Giants.
But I don't understand football. So, I'm not putting myself through the torture of watching it.

Well, I'm not actually a fan of either teams. I'm a Steelers fan and in my book any team who loses to us (Patriots) is okay in my book. Plus, I don't really like the Giants so...*shrugs*
I'm a Patriots fan, but not really hardcore in the big picture. I'm a hardcore Habs fan.
But what I REALLY turn into a lunatic for is the Olympics.

I know, right? I'm cheering for the Patriots too because I have a friend that's a fan. I'm a Lions fan, though.
I vastly prefer hockey but football is all right.
