I decided to run a small ad - ie $5 - on GRs. It went live an hour ago. In that time, my book jump 20,000 spots on amazon. While I can't be positive that the GR ad has anything to do with it, I find it interesting the jump corresponds to when the ad went live.

From where to where? A jump that doesn't take you under 50,000 most likely did not result from a sale.

Up to 15,000. I'm at 25,000 now. The lowest I've been is 50K.

I like Goodreads, but hate the Groups format. I would contribute much more to the group discussion (especially to gripe about books I hated!) if the format were more user friendly. Other than that, it's good. I enjoyed playig their neverending book-quiz for a while, then got nored with it. And I do intend to run an ad when the time is right.
