Yeah... but what's the password?

I think I may be one of the few mods whose shackling nomination was largely non-violent. I'd been bumming around screenwriting for ages and got to know Derek (dpaterso) quite well through emails and such. There then came a time when Derek decided he was getting psychopathic less interested in screenwriting than he was previously and so he asked if I'd want to help out in that forum. A good week or so passed while the background check paperwork was organised and soon enough I found I had a panel of shiny new buttons to play with.

It was only after accepting the position that I discovered Mac had only agreed to mod me in the first place because I share the same name as a rather successful screenwriter of erotic softcore pornography and she thought I was him.

I was ultimately allowed to stay because by the time this unfortunate case of mistaken identity had been unearthed, I had seen things and heard things (and yes, I had also smelled things) in the mod room that no amount of electro-shock therapy could ever remove from my brain. I was therefore permitted to stay for "security reasons."

I am of course not at liberty to discuss these matters in any way.

Except to say I was astonished to learn that a Magnetoplasmadynamic thruster can legally be registered for religious purposes with three simple forms.

Eraser writes non-fic. And I own a copy of his book.

I write novels and poetry. No, my fiction is not published and my poetry is only on the web. I never really had poetry publishing aspirations though and the one novel I've decided to try to publish, has been queries and rejected several times. Right now, I'm in the process of reinventing the query letter and am going to take a look at reinventing the first chapter.

My fiction is not published. I haven't queried - I'm chicken.

My non-fiction is, though, in mostly local print magazines.

My second book was printed by The Printer Who Shall Remain Nameless. My first book has been betaed, gammaed, and deltaed, as well as edited and rewritten. It's now time for me to write the synopsis and the query... and I would rather slide down a razor blade and land in a pool of Absorbine, Jr., before shaving my head with a cheese grater and chewing on tin foil.

We're supposed to be writing stuff?

If the mods were all published they would leave us to anarchy
