Best Comedies on TV Today Are...

Following the Law of TBBT Goodness*, if they hooked up and then had a scientific discussion of it and then Leonard walked in on them, that would be the greatest scene of the entire show.

*Nerdy stuff+screentime for Sheldon+Leonard being mortified=good

Right now, I would definitely The Big Bang Theory and Modern Family. Those are the highlights of my TV watching weeks.

I beg to differ. There are plenty of geek girls on BBT (Penny aside). Sarah Gilbert, for example. Leonard's old doctor girlfriend is not exactly "thin." Raj hooked up with a geek girl.

Big Bang Theory is one of the shows on my list of shows to catch up on. Here's the comedy I love, though:

30 Rock
The Office
Glee
Chuck
Psych

And some that are not airing new episodes anymore, but are more recent...

Arrested Development
My Name is Earl
Monk
Scrubs (p'shaw, I don't care if it's technically still on, it's not the same)

I also hear It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a hoot, but I've never seen that, either.

So, no, I don't really think there is a great shortage of comedies on television today. Personally I have a much more difficult time finding a drama series that captures my interest.

The only current sitcom that makes me laugh is 30 Rock.

I think most of them aren't very funny.

Sheldon owns that show.

I worked with Sheldon. That wasn't his name, but he had the same personality, and even looked a bit like him.

I've worked with everyone in The Office. Even had a boss, named Michael, who was like Michael, but not as bad.

My only requirement of a comedy is that it makes me laugh. Two and A Half Men is really stupid, but it makes me laugh, so that's all that counts. I also like How I Met Your Mother.

Modern Family is brilliant, but more importantly, really funny.

And I've always got an episode or two of Frazer on the Tivo.
