Morning Cantina folks. I fell asleep pretty early last night even though the light was still on and MrMacologist was still working. Guess I was pretty tired...

How's it going? Good luck all with interviews, moving house, getting roofs fixed and not blowing up while doing art.

Busy day is busy. Be back when I can. In the meantime:
1) be good; and
2) somebody find me that link to Hillz's interview so I can check it out.

18 degrees at the bus stop. 20 mins for the bus to arrive.

I now understand how time can freeze.

not here, I swear
I am lying face-down in a dark abyss of Immortals After Dark-less despair.

Whatever must I do with myself?

Good Morning Friends!

Pregnancy dreams can be kind of creepy sometimes. I went on a murderous rampage on some creepy dude for hurting my son. There was lots of screaming and blood. And earlier this week I had another very bloody dream that would go over very well with the Hounds I'm sure (no, you're not getting any more details, I don't like talking about it). So yeah, didn't sleep well, thus why I'm up a little early.

Anyway, I have learned that Angry Birds is a total time suck and I can't play it without wanting to do violence to those mother f*ing birds. I don't do well with video games in general, my patience wears very thin very fast.

Aaaaand, I should go read or edit or something now.

How's it goin'?

I can't play Angry Birds for more than five minutes. I find the game so irritating that I want to throw the tablet across the room in very short order.

On the other hand, I've been enjoying a blast from the past the last couple days. My son helped me install Dungeon Keeper II on my computer. I love that game. It's so fun to be the bad guy for a while, ha ha ha, spreading blackness and evil everywhere I can reach haaa haaa haa! and crushing the forces of good BENEATH MY HOBNAILED BOOTS HA HA! MWA HAAA HAAA HAAA!!!!

Oh, sorry.... lost my head for a moment....awkward....

Nothing much is happening here. What about you guys?

It might have been sweet, indeed, if not for the fact it was the offspring driving me over the edge.

The blueberry vodka was looking mighty tempting at 6:52 AM. I managed to refrain though and am now happily chugging coffee.

I don't know about morning, but iced coffee is looking good about now. It's 10pm - it really needs to think about cooling down around here

I'll trade you! Right now its -16 F here with -36 wind chills. Its questionable whether or not my car is going to start this morning and I really need to run some errands.

Hot coffee and super fluffy blankets sound like heaven right now.

Smile! It really does translate through the phone.

Pretend you are a famous movie star acting out a role of a character applying to get a job.

I always numb the nervousness and fear by pretending that I'm acting/putting on a show. It eats away that fear for me.

I find it helps on nervous phone calls to talk a little more slowly than I normally do. I don't know why it works -- maybe because I was a stutterer as a child? -- but it works. And it makes a good impression on the other guy. Makes it look like you're considering your words. Makes you look wise.

Fools 'em every time!

I'm back. Thanks for all the advice, guys. It helped.

I think I nailed the phone screen. :D

Whew. Such a relief.

I think I may go out to the B&N to celebrate! And I need to order a book, anyway.
