This month's prompt comes from the Television Tropes thread of "Nightmare Fuel".
Give us a partial, a full story, a document, a recovered record, but give us something from a nightmare scenario where the worst possible thing you can imagine has happened and your characters are struggling to survive in a desperate "hope against reality" scenario". They're going to die. All of them. There's absolutely no hope they could live. But give us the background, the current situation, and tell us/show us what they're facing - and make it horrible beyond our worst imaginations.
