I've posted a few times now, so I thought I should step back and introduce myself.

I'm working on a mystery that, god willing and the creek don't rise, could be the first of a series. Each plot would have a historical element which, at the moment, I'm planning to address in a dual timeline.

I've got kids and a part-time job, so I'm writing around the edges. I've worked as a reporter and recently finished a graduate degree in American history.

I plan to read a lot and post a little. We'll see how that works out. :)

Thanks!

Hello to you, Tamara, and welcome to AW. Right now, I'm also working on a novel that contains a mystery and is set in Victorian England (which makes it sort of a gothic).

Thanks for the additional welcomes!

Muse and Heyjude: I've been hanging over in MTS a bit and enjoying it! I'm learning a lot.

Tradingdavid: Right back'atcha! :)

Nickie: Interesting! How far into the writing are you? I'm only about 10,000 words in and am feeling some stress about pacing and progression. Have you shared any of your work?
