Sleep is wonderful, but I like to write without the glaring sun.

I'm seriously considering getting either a pair of pet bunnies or a pair of guinea pigs.

The only problem is, if I get guinea pigs, it might be too cold for them in my house in the winter.

What do you people think?

(What I really want is a llama and a couple of chickens, but that's bound to make it more difficult to find a new place to live if I have to).

Things like bunnies and guinea pigs are cute but, in my opinion, they don't make the best pets. They pretty much have to live most of their lives in a cage.

Why not a cat or small dog?

The exact centre of all of existence
I'd go with guinea pigs and a tempterature regulator of some sort in their room.

My reasoning? If you buy 2, then you can breed them. And people buy guinea pigs more often than they buy rabbits. At least that's what I surmise from the contents of various pet stores down my way. :)

Sure, you might get 10% of what you might get per rabbit for each guinea pig, but you can breed a lot of them fast.

South-Americans apparently.

Already have 3 dogs (who'd like to eat cat). I want something small too. I have a spare room I'm thinking about turning into a play-room for them (the pigs or the bunnies).

I hope she's ok. We should send a posse down to Texas to investigate.

And bring back some beef cattle!

For pets, of course. Cuddly, delicious pets.

I heard they get blown about quite easily by tornadoes. You'd have to secure them to something.
