Didn't know where else to post this but I have a question.
What's the name of the guttural sound made when one pronounces certain with Yiddish/Jewish, German, Arabic, etc. words?
Like in "chutzpah" or "Hannukah?" Or "Achtung."
Isn't there a linguistic name for it? I thought there was.
Maybe I'm crazy. But I used to know it and for the life of me I can't remember it.
Anybody know?
