I thought about putting a couple of quotes from the book in my signature.

One sister: "There is no reason for us to accept the Americanization of words!"

Another sister: "Oh, shut up."

americanisation!

Tee hee!

*capers*

My favourite quotes are from the Sweeney (which John Thaw was in, before he was Morse).

I think Thaw lived a lot like Morse . . . which is why he's no longer with us.

I don't think they ever showed Sweeney here; if they did I don't remember it.

Is it a front-wheel drive car?

Ummm Yes? I know it is an automatic, that is the extent of what I know. I am going to take the bf's jeep to work this morning, then get some transmission fluid and put in a little bit, then see what happens :) Today has to be better than tomorrow. I mean really, it has to. OR ELSE

And good morning House of Cats and Muppets.

The bad news: If it is front-wheel drive and the problem is the transmission, it's very bad news.

The good news: Don't assume your dad is right, unless he happens to be an experienced mechanic.

I just bought an autographed copy of The Night Circus as part of my Christmas gift to my "little sister".

She is actually a member here, but I don't think she's logged on in a year so I'm safe mentioning it.

I just finished reading it this morning. What a wonderful piece of storytelling. Sounds like she's getting a lot of positive reviews, too, so it's understandable that she isn't logging on anymore. She's probably crazy busy. An autographed copy would be very cool, but I don't think I can get that on my Kindle. :)

I ended up getting an autographed copy of The Night Circus and The Passage by Justin Cronin.

You should watch it. I'm sure they'll put it on if you ask nicely.

I think the problem's probably arisen because you've been driving on the wrong side of the road. It's a common issue in Americaland.

PS. Hope it's not too expensive!

Good day, funners!!

Sydney, I hope the transmission isn't blown. I used to have a 1968 Mustang and when the transmission went, it cost a pretty penny to fix.

Whoa whoa lets not throw words like blown or wrong side around. We are all hoping all my little Winston needs is some fresh transmission fluid.

I have...a broken car. :( :( I'm taking it to the mechanics. Poo poo. Now let's hope it isn't a million dollars.

If they give you an estimate with that price tag on it, I highly suggest going to a different mechanic. :D

Don't thank me. I'm just feeling helpful today.
