Theodore Roosevelt was accidentally omitted. He is my favorite.

OK, 50 years... I would have to split hairs over that, but have 3 top contenders. I voted for one of 3 but am still debating.

I'm going to go Carter, not so much because of his actions while in office, but because since he's left office, he's done so much good for the world and he just seems like such a legitimately amazing human being. If I could do a fraction of what he has, I'll be proud of my life.

This too. It was a toss up between him and LBJ for his support of Civil rights at a time when it earned him the hostility of his own party.
