- Then you may be pleased to know that the Rislen (what do you think of that name, btw?) isn't finished yet. After all, 'the beast with eyes must more eyes get...' :D

- Hmm...I like the name alot, I think it fits. You don't have to change the word 'carer' you know. It may be that where you're from they use it all the time. I just never heard of it called that, it's probably a regional thing, nothing wrong with it.

- I like it too, but I didn't know if the combination of 'iris' and 'lens' would be cheesy or not. And the only other word I can find for someone working in an orphanage is 'caregiver'. So I may just stick with carer, or simply 'member of staff' :p

- I think the term used here is caretaker, and caregiver. Doesn't matter carer should be fine.

- :D It's not the nines that bother me, it's leaving the count on a nine-it feels not finished. Incomplete. And I'm weird. :/

- Fair enough, I guess. It's just that I go in for surgery on Wednesday and I was hoping to get some revision done during my resting-up period afterwards...

- Sorry to hear that, nothing serious I hope, though all surgery is risky. How long will you be in the hospital?

- At least 3 hours, including the two-hours resting period. But that's just the investigative surgery; hopefully the actual operation will follow almost simultaneously, as I've been off work for 2 months waiting to have this damn thing removed, so a few days to a week at most

- Well, you have revisions to make on what you've already posted, but if that's not going to be enough to hold you over, post the other one. Just don't do too many in a short period of time. And remember to give back. ;)

- I just took the plunge and critted a *shudder* YA piece since MG is slim right now. It was surprisingly good, but still the romance doesn't do it for me.

- How are you on so much? I thought you didn't have a computer. Sorry, being nosy, just wondering.

- Crashing at a friends and get to use his PC after he's done for the night. That all ends on Monday when I go home to prepare for the op - then I don't know when I'll be back on, or for how long :(

- Chapter one is up! Total change of tone in this one, but that's intentional as the MC's life goes from normal to insanely terrifying in the space of the first few chapters.

- well that sucks, about not knowing when you'll be able to get back here, not about your story. That sounds intriguing. What time is it there?
