I used to watch Fireball XL5 every Saturday morning when I was a kid.

Thanks, Gerry, for all the entertainment

Man, those shows were a big part of my childhood, as were the related TV-21 comics that delivered great adventures by talented writers and artists. I often feel Gerry's creations' influence in my writing, dare I say especially in my own hobby comics. Sometimes I'll get a "This reminds me of..." comment from readers, which pleases me no end.

I'm a bit young to have watched it back then but I remember how Thunderbirds used to be repeated on a Saturday, I think, and my dad used to get me to watch it.

Thunderbirds will always be one of those programmes that will never get old.

RIP Gerry Anderson.

He had a long and interesting life. I watched Thunderbirds when I was small but really remember him for Space: 1999. Great musical intro. Way ahead of its time...cheesy in a way, but that's what gave it charm. Nice memories.
