The other day when I came online I noticed a slight change in the up and down scroll bar. When I click on the smilie box or anything that opens a secondary window the scroll down will not go to the bottom of the window.

Help

I'm using Chrome, and all seems well here, Regdog.

Try updating Chrome. I've found on rare occasions that merely checking seems to reset minor issues.

There's always clearing the cache, too.

:foilhat:

That's the bottom smilie that I see, right above a button to close the window.

Incidentally, I get: Version 32.0.1700.76 m

I'm on Chrome now. Do you mean the smiley box when you're posting? Look to see if a separate tab opens at the top. It shows all the smileys. Click on them and they appear in the other tab. It's sort of cool if you're going to be posting a lot because the whole list of smileys stays open and you can just flip back and forth between the tabs. :)

Google Chrome is having some hiccups with the updates. Not everyone is affected but pop up boxes and scrollbars are screwing up. I had to get an extension for win 7 scrollbar earlier today to make my down/up arrows reappear.

Clear your cache.

Close all windows and shut down the browser, then see if the problem remains.

I'm all updated and have cleared my cache and I still can't get boxes to scroll down :(

Would you try the Smilie window in the post icon bar, and see if the cursor down arrow on your keyboard has any effect at all, up or down?

Thanks

When I open the smilie box it goes down to Show All Smilies, then when the big smilie window opens, it doesn't move at all. It happens here and on all other sites I go to.

Last night I uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome thinking it may have been a hiccup but it is still happening.

Did you install any plugin or extension for Chrome? I installed ScriptSafe, and had to whitelist AW before I could get anything that pops up to work.

How do I get the extensions?

Go here

It adds an IE button on the right side of your browser bar. Just click it after you reach your destination site and it'll function as though it's an IE browser.

But that still doesn't answer the question about the scroll bar. Did the Show All smiley list show up in a separate tab? If not, you might try that. Once the full list of smileys pop-up window appears, right click on the top blue bar to the left of the "-" button of the window and choose "show as tab" and see if that works.

Just a possible work-around for the moment.

The only extension I have is Ad blokcer. I'll try some others.
Thanks again

Vagaries of software.

Google was trying a little behavioral research, maybe.

Scary thought.
