Hey all,

I just wanted to introduce myself!! I'm a senior print journalism major and really want to kick off my freelancing career while still in school. I have two blogs- Press and the City (http://vareitano.blogspot.com) and The Recessionista Giornalista (http://rgbloggurl.blogspot.com). The RG one I just started yesterday as PATC was one for a class last semester.

I've been writing for as long as I can remember, and have been on both my High School and College newspaper staffs. I'm currently Managing Editor of the Web, but have served as Editor in Chief in High School and Head Copy Editor in college.

I'd really love to make some friends out there in the blog community and learn everything and anything you can teach me about making money by blogging/freelance writing.

How does one break into this fascinating and engaging field?

Thanks so much for any and all help!! Also!! Follow me on twitter- @giornalista515.

Welcome!

Blogs are so much fun. If you're looking for tips and advice, try the blogging area here. A lot of people in the "blogging industry" also like problogger.net. The guy who runs it has been around for quite a while.
