Footage of MJ Pepsi Commerical Gone Wrong Leaked

Saw that on the news. You can see his reddened scalp at the end.

Oh man, poor guy. Geez.

Having had the back of my hair lit on fire, I can attest to the fact that it takes a while (30-60 seconds) before you realize that there's something wrong if someone doesn't alert you to the situation first. You actually have to burn enough hair before getting to the scalp where the nerves are before you're aware of it. Unless, of course, you have so much hair that you start smelling it first--which I didn't.

I remember when that happened. It helped end the "Jeri Curl" fad--which I was grateful for (the fad ending, not his incident). My ex had one at the time and refused to put plastic on his head or the bedding and the oil just soaked into EVERYTHING.

How is this leaked? I remember seeing it multiple times back in the 80s.

Maybe its the entire video from start to finish? I remember seeing the hair catching fire, but I don't recall seeing his bald burned head.

I don't remember seeing it before, either, but I was only little, you know.

I never saw it before, and I never knew how much caught on fire! That was a lot!.

I defy anyone to watch the clip and not show some compassion for his use/abuse of painkillers, ouch.

Yeah, all these years, I never knew how badly he was burned. That looked like a pretty scary experience.
