On a completely different subject, could anyone give me some etiquette hints on how to politely uninvite someone to a function?

Like, "Sorry, but we all have the typhoid fever"?

In the corporate world (a former life), we would claim a rescheduling, do the original meeting anyway, then coordinate disingenuous apologies about the mix-up. One reason I'm no longer there.

I think, put on your best smile, offer up a fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie just off the pan, and endure the burden. It will pass.

Of course, there could be a special cookie, but then I'd be revealing too much of the plot line.

Good morning House of ribs.
UGH. Daughter's idiotic dog is walking around wearing a cone of silence as he got a nasty foxtail in his eye. So, instead of being mildly broke for the weekend, we are now dead broke. I swear a black cloud has been following us for years now.

2. Leftovers can be better than the original - especially soup, chili, navy beans and banana puddin'

3. Jude, I lurve ya, but get thee away from me with them there veggie burgers :flag:

I'd have to own a pecan orchard!

I'm exaggerating a little just for fun, but the thing really is huge. It's has a 15" diameter measured to the outside top rim, and is 2" deep.

Did you figure out what to say, heyjude? Maybe you can tell them you have so many people coming, you don't have space left and they'll get the hint? :) Good luck! or offer them cake and say, "Could you eat it at your house?" :D :Cake:s 4 all!

You do know she's referring to a poor innocent kee kat, don't you, Susie?

One who has done nothing but behave all day long.

 This thread is so much fun.

Good night, funners and floozies. Party at my house, any time. You're all always invited. Pants optional but not particularly encouraged.

I spent a considerable amount of time trying to figure out how to load a picture to make it my avvie for CampNaNoWriMo. Once I figured it out I was so sick of the picture I decided against it. I will remain visually anonymous!

Aw, the cone of shame. Poor little doggie! The pup must have poked AC with a stick before AC could have his coffee.

Hope you all have a great weekend. And :( for Syd and Ni-fer who have to work.

:Hug2: thank you, Gail.
