Yes, I did absorb all the secrets of the universe, but I had to sign a confidentiality agreement. Sorry.

Don't forget the Transit of Venus in a couple of weeks.

Uh, yeah, that's a book by Henry Miller. He also wrote Transit of Capricorn.

He also wrote The Fruit Stand. It's about the human race almost being destroyed by a new type of fungus on rotten bananas.

Where's Syd? She usually shows up late at night.

We all have our dirty jobs to do.

My job is to shoot the muppet . . . if he will even stand still long enough and stop capering and prancing about.

I think it's the capering that adds an element of sport.

Not quite "The Most Dangerous Game," but maybe "The Most Erratic Muppet."

Mah ears are a burnin!

I just downloaded Scrivener. Now I'm trying to learn how to use the thing. Also, it is making me want to organize more than write :(

If you find that Scrivener is too much, you could try the free version of Page Four.

I have some mead left. I think from last summer.

I'm not surprised. That stuff sounds revolting. Northumbrian mead is quite the speciality in, well, Northumberland (which used to be Northumbria until Maggie Thatcher changed everything around). I've never been able to bring myself to drink it, though.

My friends wouldn't even drink it, and they'll normally drink anything that's free.

Maybe I should buy some Foster's for them. Or Lonestar; that's almost as bad.
