Maybe you don't do enough harassing. I find it works for me. Practically everyone sends me harassing reppies on a daily basis. I get shmooed a lot, too, as you may have noticed -- also pretty much daily. I think the theory is that if I ever tried to report anyone, he/she would have at least as much reportable material on me. So, you see, no one's afraid to taunt me.
Now it's just possible that you have a reputation to uphold. Or people might actually respect you. I'm not handicapped that way.

Some think they do, but they are dilusional ... I should know about that .. or are just undead. Haggis should live in NYC, where they have some sports teams he could root for with less disappointment.

Crazy thought process of the day:
Actors should marry writers.
Imagine, writers wouldn't have to worry about promoting their books, they'd just get their spouse to endorse it.
[actor/ess's name] loves to read [author's name]'s book titled [book title]! You should buy it too!
Then the ego argument of who stands taller is no biggie, because 50% of writers like to hide in the shadows anyway.
And if the actor wants a script directed toward their *cough* talents, the writer spouse could work it out for them...
