Hi there. I've spent the past few weeks feeling like I was beating my head against a wall, because every writing site I've found was either tiny and dead, or insanely competitive gimmicky things run by publishers where the be-all and end-all was trying to rise in the ranks and get noticed for publication, or else just plain run by idiots.
I'm hoping this place will be a little more like what I want, which is a place where I can talk about writing. I want to burble on about my endless story ideas, and my fiance is getting tired of hearing about them!
Actual critique would be nice too. It seems to be like pulling teeth to get my friends to say anything other than "I liked it" when they read my stuff. It's flattering, but come on! I know it's not perfect, I want to hear about the flaws so I can fix them!
Anyhow, this looks like it might be the right place, so hello everybody. *waves*
