I'm finding myself obsessing over David Garibaldi (Tower of Power drummer) lately. Weird. I never would have pegged myself as a funk music lover.

So, what's your current obsession?

Alice In Chains' SAP.

I'm trying not to wish away every day until 11/02, but I'm so stoked to see them with Ann & Nancy Wilson & the NW Symphony. This'll be my 3rd Alice show in 2 years -- yep, obsessed. :D

My HIM obsession was recently renewed after I heard their new CD, it's beyond fantastic. I've alwasy been a fan but this CD really brought back my love for them.

I've been pretty obsessed with Chiodos lately, too. Bone Palace Ballet is amazing. And I saw them at Warped Tour, I was right against the barrier and it was just breathtaking =]

I've been a Pearl Jam fan since 2003 when my fella took me to a concert in Detroit. What a marvelous band. ^_^ I've seen them nine times since 2003. I was supposed to get a tattoo after the 10th concert, but in light of our split I probably won't do it.

My ex-ish is in a band and I can't hop online without checking his myspace page to see what's up.

I'm on a long-term PJ kick, with a side of Chris Cornell.

I'm not sure obsess is the right word but I'm currently addicted to listening to Chris Daughtry's CD. I love him and he's fabulous in concert.

My current music/band obsession(s) are Skillet & Boys Like Girls.

Looking at Martin Johnson in the Boys Like Girls music videos is a hobby sometimes when I'm bored. xP

I can't quit playing the latest New Pornographers album. It's called Challengers and it just came out a few weeks ago. It's been in my car's CD player ever since.

Before that, it was the Hairspray soundtrack, which my boss gave to me because we both love the movie. It doesn't matter that I haven't actually played the soundtrack in a while because the songs are STILL stuck in my head. All of them. Playing on a loop. Ack!

Wilco - has been for a while, but their lyrics are just amazing. I have a brain crush on Jeff Tweedy.

I always have musical obsessions and they are always the same ones just switching places on the obsession ladder. Last month was Cohen non-stop and right now it's all about Jeff Buckley.

Leonard Cohen is a genius! Good stuff!

North of there and South of here...
I saw Bruce Cockburn play in Banff last month. It was one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. He is a great singer, haunting lyricist, and absolutely stunning guitar player. Since then I've been buying the CDs I can find, and trying to learn the songs from guitar tab sites. I hold no delusions of guitar-playing mastery, but my skills are actually improving....

Excellent thread

I'm making my way through Collective Soul's discography. I can't believe they've been around since 1995 (or thereabouts) and I never bought an album. Dang, was I ever missing some great music! Currently, I can't get enough of their first, and self-titled, cd. I love every song.

Yes, definitely a new obsession.:D

Fine. I don't call it an obsession, but these 4 bands have pretty much dominated my playlist since High School:
Black Sabbath
Hawkwind
Captain Beyond
Uriah Heep

And now I have everything Rob Zombie's ever done, even his movies, so if that's an obsession, so be it.
Leonard Cohen is a genius! Good stuff!
Ew!

Assembly of Dust. Their stuff just blows me away. I wish I could manage to catch them when they're playing in the area; somehow their concert dates always coincide with some urgent list of errands, a family event, or a meeting I *have* to go to.
