Unfortunately, too many teachers hand out fountain pens but don't really know how to use them. If you hold and use a fountain pen properly, it doesn't matter which hand you use. Straight wrist, nib well above the hand, and hand always well below the words being written, not curled left or right as most do when using a pencil or ballpoint. You should write with your arm, not with your wrist or fingers.
