Hello, everyone!

My name is Rick Gualtieri. I'm a horror & comedy writer (sometimes horror / comedy :) , so I'm definitely looking forward to saying Hi in those forums.

Additionally, I'm a reader of horror, techno thrillers, and adventures.

Looking forward to meeting and chatting with everyone.

Rick

Greetings and welcome to the watercooler :welcome:

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Week thread at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Welcome Rick!

Comedic horror ... sounds good; as a horror fan, Army of Darkness, Bubba Ho-Tep and Shaun of the Dead come to mind.

Wasn't too big on Bubba Hotep, but I'm right there with you on the other two. Army of Darkness is the standard to which all comedy horror should be judged.

So Rick, do you ever put comedic situations into your horrer books? The reason I ask this, is that I'm currently...currently, that's a laugh, I have been reading the "Destroyer" series now for years, and I am on book 113 in the series, and most of the time I only grt to read a page or two when I go to the washroom. Do you know how many trips to the washroom that is? Anyways, the point I was about to make before i rudly interupted myself was, that it is a fairly serious set of stories about a couple of assassins, Remo Williams and his master, Master Chiun. The banter between the two is just hilarious, and usually occurs after they have just killed someone. By the way, so far there is only 145 books in the original series, with 4 more books in the "New Destroyer." series...so that's Hmmm, I'll have to go and figure out how many more pee breaks that is.
