My imagination
In one of my stories I have a type of aircraft calleda scream jet, but I'm debating whther to take out teh space and call it a screamjet.

When reading, does one or the other seem more comfortable or real, or does it not really matter to you?

It's maybe one of those small things, but when you're learning, every question seems important.

I vote to tack them together. It may look funny at first, but then you get used to it, and eventually, you even forget that you made the word up!

I like the one-word version myself. Together they seem like one object, seperately they feel like a description of an object. Like a screen door vs a doorway.

Depends on what you want it to mean:

"scream jet" - implies it is only one of several kinds of jets

"screamjet" - implies it is completely different from any other aircraft
