When I was a kid in school we once took a field trip to a large slaughter/packing house.

I haven't really wanted to go back.

That would be the, "we don't want to spend money we could blow on sports to send these children anywhere inspirational and educational, so let's scar them for life instead" field trip.
Ah yes. I've been there.

It wasn't quite like that. They used to have some kind of "ag day" and that was just part of it. We were mostly ol' country boys anyway (heck, when you once cut the testicles off of little piggies there's not much that's going to bother you).

I remember back in my horse days, holding the line of a soon to be gelding during the procedure. The vet said something along the lines of, "Don't worry he'll be fine." I had my doubts.

We could try it with the muppet and get his opinion.

McDonalds' refused to use the pink slime. If you're really craving it, you'll have to go eat in a school cafeteria.

see, I remember Jamie whushisname - the naked chef, doing his thing here trying to improve school lunches, and he showed the pink slime, and the rendered chicken that went into most of our processed chicken nuggets. It was gnarly. It was the first I'd heard of it, and now it's talked about all over... and I think... I hope Jame whushisname gets the credit.

LOL, what is this pink slime I hear of? It sounds almost as good as mah prelicks :D Hope you all have the greatest day! :Cake:s!

Susie - did you watch the video? It is not cakery... not at all....

Does anyone remember the Food Lion scandal from a few years back? I don't think the company ever quite got over it.

I'm making a cherry crumb-type thing. We'll see how it turns out in about 25 more minutes.

It was super-doper simple.

I want a cherry crumb-type thing. :(

I was suppose to get my last surgery today, but not healed yet from the last ones so it's been delayed. But I have like the greatest surgeon on the planet! Not going into it here but it's on my blog if anyone wants to read it.

I'm off tomorrow, w00t! I got two days off for the surgery. Not needed now, but I'll enjoy them. I think I'll go search for a good movie to watch and maybe write some.

Yello home fries.

It is a rainy night here in Oregon. I guess morning...if you're a stickler for those kinds of things.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Replaces AC's bottle with a cup of coffee. That always fixes the grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's. And for crying out loud AC it's not even noon yet, put that bottle down for a while.

Red wine is good for you -- part of a healthy and nutritious breakfast. Along with bacon . . . which I'm having at the moment.

Since March came in like a lion here, I think it should go out like a lamb.

I'll be nice to everyone (even the muppet) for the next two days.
