I hate to say this, but I have my titles picked out for all four books. I know, it's lame. But there was a theme going on. :/
Visions of Death
Visions of Other
Visions of Unknown
You don't just have "Visions of ______ " going. Your first word was distinctly paranormal. You have to decide if you're going to keep that paranormal element (I think it's advisable, but it's your choice) or not and truly establish how the series is going to work.
You wanted opinions.
I do want opinions. Please explain the above a bit more. My first word? You mean the word Vision, or the word Shadows?
So Vision of Serpents doesn't sound supernatural?
How about Vision of Darkness?
Ug, just dealt with a real asshole customer who said that I should keep in mind that he was the High School Bully that used to beat people like me up in High School.
Unfortunately, I had to stay professional.
She's psychic. See's dead people. Has visions. Etc.
In the 1st book, after her parents are killed, she moves to their home town, with her Uncle and finally meets the boy she's been dreaming of her entire life. In most of those visions, he falls in love with her. But in one that has repeated more times than she can count, he murders her.
Plus the moment she gets into town, she keeps having visions of these things she calls Shadow Creatures that want her dead.
In the follow up, the shadow creatures return. She also keeps having dreams of a giant snake slithering throughout the town. People she had learned to trust are acting badly. And people are dying, sometimes through their own hand.
Honestly Vince, unless it was in the non-fiction section under herpetology...
