I just got word from my traditional publisher that my non fiction book from 2002 will be released by them as an ebook on June 15th, and available at six different web sites.
Would this be something akin to having your hard cover book get a second life in paperback?
Does anyone have any experience in this realm? Should I get in touch with the editor to see if there's a chance I can do some radio interviews, as I did for the original volume? Or should I leave this to my agent to handle.
What about foreign rights. Would the book's appearance as an ebook mean a whole new chance to get the Japanese sale that eluded me the first time around (mainly because the publisher's sub rights department was falling apart when the book was first published)?
What else can I do to maximize the experience? Set up a blog?
