In the past, Word would let me edit my edits without showing extra tracking. When I finished tweaking the line, it would show up in the designated color with only the changes I wanted to make. This was perfect.
Now, when I go back to change my edits, it marks my deletions. It happens before I've saved the document. For example, I add a sentence and go back to delete one of the words before I move to another page. I'm wasting a lot of time trying to "accept" the new changes within my edits without accepting the overall change. Leaving them there makes it difficult to read and edit.
It's Word 2007. Another person (my editor) has been adding comments, but no text. I've tried setting the tracking options two ways, showing one author and two authors, and it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Thanks.
