I'm not turned away from a writer's blog because they express opinions I don't agree with. However, I read writer's blogs for subjects related to writing, creativity and the writer. If they post a few posts on the election, mixed in with their usual posts, I won't mind. If their blog suddenly turns into an election rundown, I'm going to stop reading.

Sometimes it's not about what views you're expressing. It's how well you're balancing that with other content.
