I'll be there from Friday evening as I don't have the day or Thursday off work, and I'll be going back on Sunday evening.

I'm not on any panels but an anthology I co-edited is getting a launch on Sunday early evening.

Hope to see you all there.

I may well be lurking in the area as I have an author to meet, but I don't actually have a ticket. Would be nice to have a drink off-site or something?

On the subject of drinks off-site, may I point out that the Great British Beer Festival is happening at the Olympia in London, August 12-16?

Sunday afternoon on 'Tax for UK Writers' (again with Mr Flibble) which may be getting filmed by Channel 4. Probably heading home Sunday evening.

Shit

Do I have time to hire a double? OR get a valium prescription at least? ETA: Pretty sure I've got some anti-freak out tablets somewhere...

:D

Anyway, VERY glad you could finally make it!

Well it depends when we're going to be there and when we're all busy!

Thursday eve? Friday? Saturday morning?

PS Am off in the morning, and not sure what my wifi will be like. So, Jim check your reps and then let me know!

Would Thursday or Friday late afternoon/evening work for people?

Only met Jimmy so far! Where are the rest of you, AWers? This place is too huge.

I meant to make your evening panel, Flibble, but got caught in conversation after my own. I might try to make crunchy's Space Rock panel if I get back in time from a lunch meetup with my Codex pals.

Hope to bump into more of you before it's all over.

I am frequently to be found at the tables outside the indian food place. Twitter appears to be the best connector, although I've still completely missed Mr. Flibble and a couple of others thus far.

I ended up meeting with Red Wombat today.

And a LOT of people who know Mac.

Um, I do try to tweet my locations. I'm @amergina (not surprisingly).

I did see you from a distance yesterday Amergina, but it looked like you were about to start one of the art workshops or something, so not a good time for a chat.
If anyone sees me today, I'll be in a black tshirt with a sunset on the front, white sweater & light blue jeans... so really not the easiest clothes to spot I'm afraid.
I'm on twitter as @AilsaCF, and can try to tweet things/look for other people's tweets.

That's a wrap for me, folks!

I had a blast at my first WorldCon. The Excel was so huge and packed with so many people, that it was tough to hook up with folks for proper hang out time. But it was great to meet Jimmy, Flibble, and Ailsa, even if our meetings were a bit brief!

Now it's time for a bit of rest before seeing the sights in London for the next few days.

I'm quite impressed that we managed to sit beside each other completely at random! Funny how luck works sometimes!

It's a latent superpower I'm cultivating. I'm afraid it will be terrible for fighting crime, though. Perhaps I could get terrorists to sit down next to me while waiting for a bus and delay them with small talk? But then I'd have to join a terrorist message board.
