I'm just popping in to wish everyone a merry Christmas as well (or a happy holiday for those who don't celebrate Christmas). I hope everyone is having a good holiday and spending quality time with family.

*HUGS*

Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays!

Just got home, after a very arduous visit to Scotland (and the threat of not even getting home, mum's friend who said she was going to drive me to the airport today told us on Christmas Day at 1pm that she had known since the afternoon before that she'd no petrol. Why she didn't tell us the night before, when we would've had time to arrange something... But anyway dad went and camped outside the local taxi driver's house in the village until he came back from an errand to get us a car!)

Hope everyone's day was good and full of chocolate!

We had a lovely Christmas. Yesterday was weird. I mean, really weird, but interesting to someone who writes crime. :D

Today we start to get back to normal. Which is good. I'd like my house back from Christmas, please.

Weird? Interesting?

So, Mama Jude, now that you've got our curiosity piqued...how was your day weird and why was it only interesting to crime writers??? Inquiring minds want to know.

Glad you and the family had a great holiday.

I'll email, Jeff. It's too weird to put out there in public. If it tells you anything, there is now a member of my family that answers the phone by saying "Witness Protection." :D

I agree! As will my day today.... five kids, plus work. I can bring the kids with me, but something tells me I won't get that much done. Think of me! Send chocolate!

In a house.
My Dad is a now-retired cop. Back when it was his turn to work the station desk during midnights, he used to answer the phone (he could see from the caller ID that Grandma was calling him) ...

"City morgue - you stab 'em, we slab 'em. Hi Mom".

hehehe

Somehow - I AM gonna work that into my story ... it's just too darn funny not to!

 I love the black humor of people in those professions. I guess it helps them stay sane, God bless 'em.

No chocolate, but for various reasons, I've been baking biscotti and cookies like a mad person. I should send out care packages, because even my family is getting sick of it.

The best biscotti have lemon zest and ginger in them.
