Come on guys. Seed. Pit. Same difference.

I don't hate cherries! And it works better if I don't like them--more for you!

Okay, my Aussie friends. It's nearly 11 pm so I'm going to go to bed.

I sure miss you guys---I feel like I never get to chat with you guys anymore. It's depressing.

Night, Lil.

I have to go do stuff now anyway. :e2cry: I don't wanna!

*throws a tantrum*

*remembers she's (nominally) an adult*

*sighs*

*gets back to work*

I'm having a slow day. Haven't done any writing yet.

Sorry, Lil. :Hug2: I have a diploma in horticulture, and I'm a stickler for using the right terminology. *hides*

Yes, I know what you mean! I rarely get to talk to anyone but BF anymore. And while I enjoy those chats, I do miss chatting with you, Lil.

Being an adult sucks sometimes, it's true. *G*

*goes back to wasting time because I'm an OLD adult who doesn't work*

Oh, that's right, it's getting to the end of your school year there.

I'm used to school finishing up in December. *g*

Yep. It usually finishes up the week before Christmas - and then they don't go back until the end of January.

G'night, Lil! Sleep well!

How's your afternoon been, Jay?

I have made it home and am inspired to do some words. Gonna try get some down before dinner. And hopefully after, too. :)

Afternoon has been sort of quiet.

Attempted scones again to have with dinner. Best result yet! :D They always taste good, it's just a problem getting them to look the way they're supposed to.

Right now I'm waiting for the pain meds to kick in - the headache I woke up with (that buggered off for most of the day) is back. Stupid head. I wanted to do words tonight!

Glad you survived your day, BF. Hope the words flow for you.

Oh no. Not another headache. :(

My words are actually coming well. This is a scene I kinda wrote in my head today (if only my patients knew where my mind was really at this afternoon!) so it's just a matter of getting them down. So far so good.

I've somehow never made scones. Or a spongecake. As someone who bakes a lot, I feel these are both things I'll have to do at some point!

Meh. I get a lot of headaches. The question is whether I can function with it or not. :)

That's awesome that your words are going well. Just as well the patients don't know that you were only partially paying attention to them. *G*

Scones can be tricky (at least for me). The thing I figured out tonight is - don't use a rolling pin. Just pat it out with your hands and it needs to be THICK (like an inch thick) when you cut it out. I don't think I've ever made a spongecake before - at least not something that was called 'spongecake'.

Headache seems to be on the wane, so I'll make an attempt to at least get a few words down, I think.

Good luck with the writing. :)

I've almost written a whole chapter, which is huge for me in one sitting. This is a crucial one, too. Lots of plot strands finally coming together. Aaaand... I'm going back to it now.

Good morning (or goodnight), guys!

Hope the headache is gone now, Jay.

Congrats on wordzeses, BF!!

I'm trying to debate between eating breakfast, going back to bed, or driving over to the tanning salon to work on my spray tan. Since my skin doesn't tan naturally and I make vampires look golden, I decided to invest in a spray tan before my cruise. I hope I don't turn orange...

There are already too many orange people in the world, Lil. (Yes, one is enough).

:hi:

My words are still happening. Yay!

Morning, y'all!

Careful with the spray, Lil. Nothing wrong with pale, but oompa-loompa is a problem. Just be sure to follow the directions and don't rush anything.

A piece of flash fiction happened yesterday. I'm actually happy with it. I had someone at crit group read it over after the meeting and she just had one recommendation for a minor tweak to one sentence. Trying to decide whether to post it in Polished & Ready or not.

I can't believe you guys are hating on the Oompa Loompas!

No worries, I'll be careful.

Congrats to both of you on the awesome wordage!! That's really great! I wrote something once. Just once. A long, long time ago....

There once was a gal named Lil
Who sat with some ink and a quill
To write a great book
But the words never took
And now she may never write again because she is having serious writer's block, poor thing.

I have nothing against Oompa Loompas. I have things against narcissistic wannabe dictators. But maybe that's just me.

I feel like I shouldn't laugh. But I'm gonna, coz that's really funny. Tragic, but funny.

Good work on the words, Maggie! It's always nice to be happy with something. (Remind me what that feels like...) But I know not what "Polished & Ready" is.

It's Flash Fiction's SYW! Password's flashed

Yeah, it's a tragic poem, but hilarious. XD You've still got it, Lil. May not be the it you want, but you got it anyway.
